Hi weemo90

There are details here on the site from parents that outlines the various stages (depending on just what type of HS you son has) also what might be needed in the couple of weeks after the procedure.

I hope to do find time to return and browse.

Hello
just read your post and wanted to reply I'm 25 so older than you but I do think some medical professionals can lack in the way they explain things to younger mums for that reason. Don't let that put you of asking questions though. I ask lots however silly them may seem and my son has now been seen by a second surgeon because I needed to feel reassured his surgeon knew what he was doing!
I would recommend you join the forum as this has given me lots of questions to ask!. My son will not be having his first surgery until he is 2 in november but I feel quite confident in his surgeon's ability to do the surgery.
This probably will not help much but asking lots of questions has made me feel better about his future surgery.
take care
